As seen in the photo, Brooke and Tyler’s Frankenmuth wedding was originally scheduled on April 18, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they pushed their Uptown North Main wedding back to July 2020 to ensure a safe celebration.
“We will not let this virus take our special date away from us. Though it has been super sad and some days I have eaten Cheeto dip in bed I look forward to July 25 with huge anticipation,” says Brooke.
Unfortunately, as COVID-19 cases continued to escalate, they had to reschedule it again to 2021. Eventually, the ongoing delays were too much and my heart sank when Brooke called me and told me that they had decided to just cancel their wedding. Needless to say, I could hear the disappointment and sadness in her voice as I know how much this wedding meant to them. After giving it some thought, I decided to offer refunds with a post-wedding photoshoot at no additional cost as a wedding gift. It is my firm belief that every couple deserves the wedding photos that they desire, weddings or no weddings.
#loveisnotcancelled
Love is not cancelled at Chinling Photography. We all went through a lot of cancelations last year. Engagements, weddings, honeymoons, family gatherings and more. But it was the events and not the love that were not there. With their wedding postponed twice and then cancelled, all that Brooke and Tyler wanted were wedding photos with their dog, Rizzy, in their own backyard. And it’s the least I could do.
Why You Should Consider A Post-Wedding Photoshoot
This June, we decided to plan a post-wedding photoshoot to honor their original wedding day. This gorgeous photoshoot was set right in the backyard of their own house. As a Frankenmuth wedding photographer, I actually couldn’t think of a better location than this!
To begin with, their 22 acre woods created a stunning backdrop for their bohemian wedding theme. Although we only spent an hour together, I managed to capture most wedding-day elements. From wedding detail shots, bridal portraits, bride and groom portraits to sunset portraits with their dog, we have it all! This relaxed and intimate photoshoot was absolutely magical! To be honest, the fact that we didn’t have to rush to any places at all made us feel so calm and present throughout the shoot. This is the reason why I would recommend every couple to have a post-wedding photoshoot with your photographer.
Including Pets In Wedding Photos
Tyler and Brooke have their beloved dog, Rizzy. In fact, we were also celebrating Rizzy is now cancer-free! When I first met Brooke in 2019, she told me that she has always dreamt about having a photo of Rizzy sitting on her wedding dress on their wedding day. Now, she finally got the shot!
Last but not least, I hope these intentional moments I captured from this long overdue wedding photos will serve as daily reminders of how much they love one another for the rest of their lives.
