Bay City Engagement Session

This Bay City engagement session was taken in every Mid-Michigan wedding photographer’s favorite season! In downtown Bay City, I found the perfect backdrop for fall engagement photos- a wall with colored leaves of the wild vine.

To begin with, Aileen and John were so pleasant to work with the whole time! In fact, this might be one of my favorite Bay City engagement sessions! The reason is that I absolutely love how much John makes Aileen laugh (like A LOT). They enjoyed being in each other’s presence and everything felt so effortless and authentic.

Before every engagement session, I would ask my couples to complete an Engagement Session Questionnaire. It allows me to get to know them better. Most importantly, it helps me to create a one-of-a-kind and meaningful engagement session experience for each couple. It turns out that Harless + Hugh Coffee is their favorite spot to spend time on the weekends. As you can see, these warm, artistic and fun-loving coffee shop engagement photos are so Aileen-and-John!

Another thing that I love about photographing in downtown Bay City is the variety of colorful walls! Everywhere you go is a vibrant and interesting backdrop for creative images. Pick one that coordinates the couple’s outfit and style.
